North Kazakhstan State University is a leading educational institution in northern Kazakhstan. It was originally established as the Petropavlovskiy Teachers Training Institute 83 years ago in 1937 in the city of Petropavl, Kazakhstan.
In 2003, the university was renamed after academician Manash Kotzebue by the council of Kazakhstan. NKSU has a team of dedicated professionals, doctors, and researchers, which contributes to its excellent performance in education.
In 2001, NKSU was granted university status by the Republic Council of Kazakhstan. Petropavl city, where the university is located, is known for its beauty and attracts foreign students and visitors for living and tourism. Situated on the Ishim River in northern Kazakhstan near the Russian border, Petropavl has a population of over 200,000 and features many ponds, lakes, and small forests within the city, making it a picturesque place to live. Students at the university have the option to live outside the campus and easily adjust to the surrounding environment.
