Nicolaus Copernicus University offers over 149 fields of study for graduate and postgraduate courses, including 25 doctoral programs and 5 doctoral schools. The number of foreign students is growing due to our internationalization policy. We have over 900 agreements with other institutions through the ERASMUS+ exchange program.
Nicolaus Copernicus University is one of 10 Polish universities granted the status of a research university in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s “Excellence Initiative – Research University” competition. This program aims to support the best Polish universities to help them compete with foreign institutions.
NCU is the only Polish university and one of ten European universities in the Young Universities for the Future of Europe consortium. NCU is ranked in several university rankings, including ARWU, QS World University Rankings, and U.S. News Best Global Universities. These rankings show the high standards of education and continuous development at NCU.
