Established in 1939, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) is one of Kyrgyzstan’s oldest medical universities. The first batch had about 200 students. It was established in Bishkek, with help from universities in Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Tashkent, and Taskent.KSMA is considered the top university among all medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan. It has over 540 faculty members and is recognized by WHO, FAIMER, IMED, and MCI.
Students can also take exams like USMLE, PLAT, NZREX, etc., for further studies in countries like the USA, UK, New Zealand, etc.
In addition to general medicine, KSMA offers dentistry and pediatrics for Indian students. Its medical library is one of Kyrgyzstan’s largest, with over 400,000 books and digital resources, including CDs with videos and illustrations.
